Oral Surgeon – Meet Dr. Steven H. Young
Dr. Steven H. Young grew up in Great Neck, NY — just outside of New York City. He is a Board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who received his undergraduate degree in Biology from California Institute of Technology (CalTech) and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University in 1999. Dr. Young did his four year residency at New York University/Bellevue Hospital in New York, NY, and started his practice in Johnston, RI in 2004. It has been his pleasure to serve the Johnston community ever since.
In addition to his busy private practice, Dr. Young is an active member of a number of organizations:

Dr. Young is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists — an honor bestowed upon only 3% of dentists. Additionally, he taught Boston University dental students as a Preceptor. Having achieved diplomate status of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, he continues to strive to be the best oral & maxillofacial surgeon possible in order to deliver the best care for his patients.
Dr. Young has devoted his professional career to all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with special interests in dental implants, bone grafting, and oral pathology. To keep abreast of the latest developments in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, he has always far exceeded the continuing education requirements of RI.
Dr. Young’s interests include, exercise/fitness, traveling, running/hiking, drawing, reading, volunteer work, teaching, the Bible, and horsing around with his children. He’s been happily married to his wife since dental school, and they have two wonderful children.
